When death happens in your family or a friend’s family, what should you do get the funeral service.
Please see step by step process mentioned below for your ease.
Step1
- Please talk to Hospital Chapel, Hospital admin, or Hospice care to get the death certificate.
- This procedure takes about 24 to 48 hours on weekdays from Monday to Thursday and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays it may take more time due to county offices being closed during weekends.
-  Without this certificate, you will not be able to schedule a cremation service.Â
- Please do not schedule any Funeral home or cremation service at this step.
Step2
- While Certificate co-ordination is going on, please call our temple priests and get their available time slots for priestly service.
- Â Please make a note of available times of priests and their contact number.
- Â They may have some other priestly service scheduled, however priests will try to adjust their schedule if other host is willing to adjust their appointment with priests.
- This co-ordination will take about 2 to 4 hours.
Step3
- Please visit or call any Funeral home as per your wish (We have listed on our temple web some of the contacts. Funeral homes always give priority to Priest availability and their timings) and give them priest availability timings.
- Then schedule a funeral home and cremation time as given to you by priests during (Step 2) phone call and conversation.
Step4
- Please contact attending priest and give him funeral home address and details.
- Get the priestly service (Pooja) list of items and fees Etc.
